Planning your wedding can be one of the most exciting times of your life… but also one of the most stressful! From picking your location, colour of your flowers, the font on your invites and the dreaded seating plan, it can be really challenging let alone knowing what treatments are best before your big day! Most brides tend to have their nails done and maybe an eyebrow wax a few days before their wedding but there are so many other treatments to consider that need to be thought about long before the big day.
Facials – There seems to be a huge stigma attached to having facials before your big day because of potential breakouts occurring, this is purely down to the kind of facial you have. Make-up can only cover and hide imperfections not correct them so most make-up artists will tell you it’s all about the canvas they work with so making sure you are looking after your skin and it’s prepared correctly before make-up makes a huge difference. Two of my favourite facials pre wedding are Crystal Clear Oxygen Facials & Environ Hydraboost Facials. Both are incredible for rejuvenating and plumping the skin helping with visible lines and wrinkles and a special serum with hyaluronic acid is used in the Hydraboost facial which holds 1000 times its own weight in water which is perfect for more dry/dehydrated skins. A course is recommended to achieve the best results, but if you don’t want to commit to a full course we offer mini ones just for brides.
Supplements – Advanced Nutrition Programme is one of the highest quality supplement ranges you can buy. They contain the best premium ingredients ensuring you only put pure essential vitamins and minerals into your system that actually reach the skin. These can help bring out the best in your skin from working within. They do a great multi vitamin called Skin Vitality 1 which includes essential vitamins and minerals to maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. They have many other supplements that are skin specific including ones for dry skin, acne/problematic skin and supplements targeting weak and brittle nails and are essential in preparation for achieving perfect skin.
Products – My absolute favourite product for brides is Environs Focus Hydrating Serum, the same product we use in our Environ Hydraboost Facial. I call this a drink for your skin as the hyaluronic acid is so super hydrating and is perfect for smoothing and plumping skin – just what is needed in time for your wedding day! It can be daunting to begin using new products especially when your worried it can disrupt your normal skincare range, however adding a couple of extra products can really enhance your skin and make a huge difference. I would strongly advise to book in for a free consultation to go over any products you are using and check they are correct and will benefit you the most before your big day!
Eyelashes & Eyebrows – A lot of clients tend to forget about enhancing what they naturally have, from lashes to brows there are treatments to really bring out the best of what you have and make a huge difference to your face. The most popular treatment for your lashes is a Lash Lift. Lash Lifts naturally enhances your lashes to give them a lifted look without the use of mascara or eyelash curlers. This treatment is perfect for clients who don’t want to commit to lash extensions or find mascara irritating for their eyes. A HD Brow treatment is perfect for those wanting to enhance brows. We tailor this eyebrow treatment to you by creating a shape that suits you personally, down to your face shape and colouring. A step by step process of tinting, waxing, threading, plucking, trimming and finishing with makeup it can really transform your face. I strongly recommend to book in for at least 3 HD Brow treatments before your wedding to ensure you have time to grow in any areas that are needed to create the absolutely perfect eyebrow for you!
Nails – With your wedding around the corner nails are usually one thing most brides have done, but when your nails are just not co-operating and keep splitting and breaking you feel helpless and sometimes can feel extensions are your only hope! If you start taking care of your nails leading up to the wedding with nail supplements, cuticle oils and treatments you are halfway there and can avoid nasty damage caused by nail extensions. Shellac nails are what I find most my clients tend to have and they usually start a month or 2 before their wedding to help the nails get stronger and helping maximise growth.
I hope this helps you, your wedding should be such an exciting time so don’t get caught out by the small things when you can plan ahead and achieve the best results 🙂
