Q. How can I purchase a gift voucher?
A. We have a few ways to purchase gift vouchers. You can pop by the salon to purchase a voucher or e-voucher, or you can purchase them over the phone by calling us on 01202 299778, or purchase them online by clicking here.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept cash or cheque payments.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. You can read more about our cancellation and child-free policy, and our treatment T&C’s here.

Q. What is the differences between bikini, high bikini, brazilian and hollywood wax?
A. A bikini wax is the hair removed outside your knicker line, a high bikini is slightly more hair removed from the top and underneath, a Brazilian is a strip left down the centre of the pubic area and all other hair removed, and a Hollywood wax is all hair removed from top, sides and underneath.
Q. What is the difference between hot wax and strip wax?
A. Strip wax is used for larger areas like legs and arms and is a warm wax applied to the skin and removed quickly with a wax strip. Hot Wax is better for smaller, more sensitive areas and is applied to the skin and removed quickly without any wax strips. Hot Wax is usually better for more intimate areas e.g bikini area due to their sensitivity. Hot wax can pick up hair as small as 1mm, and we also use an oil first to create a barrier and to protect, so the only thing we remove is your hair and not your skin! Our therapists will always advise you on what method is best for you prior to doing the treatment. Please note, for intimate areas we will only use hot wax.
Q. How long does my hair have to be for waxing?
A. We would recommend leaving it at least 10-14 days after the last time you shaved, and between 4-6 weeks after your last wax. Ideally the hair needs to be around 1cm in length for best results. Please note if the hair isn’t long enough we may still charge for late cancellation so please ensure you let us know in plenty of time.

Q. Do I have to have a patch test?
A. Read more about our patch testing policy here

Q. Will I leave the salon with red skin after an Eyebrow/Lip wax?
A. Waxing may leave your skin slightly pink however this usually dies down within an hour or so and is completely normal with all waxing. We can provide some make-up after any facial wax to help cover any redness occurred.
Q. Will Shellac ruin my nails?
A. Shellac will not ruin your nails if you follow correct aftercare advice given to you by your therapist, and if the Shellac is removed correctly. To avoid dehydration after Shellac is removed we recommend using CND Solar oil to nourish and hydrate which you can purchase from the salon at your appointment.

Q. What is BIAB?
A. Builder in a bottle (also known as BIAB) is a strong gel overlay that can be used on its own or underneath your chosen shellac colour for the ultimate strengthening treatment. We’d highly recommend this as an add-on for those who have weak nails or want their shellac to last even longer.
Q. I’m not sure what facial is best for me, what do you recommend?
A. This is a very broad question and will depend on many things so we’d highly recommend to give us a call to advise you properly. Or if you’d like a more in-depth consultation with one of our skincare specialists you can find out more here.

Q. What is CACI?
A. The CACI Synergy is our latest and most advanced facial system that has been shown to reduce wrinkle depth by up to 75% and improve skin elasticity by up to 88%. It offers a variety of exclusive technologies including our unique S.P.E.D® Dual Action Technology, that provides simultaneous skin rejuvenation and facial toning

Q. Can I bring my child to my appointment?
A. HI Therapies is a child-free salon and we do not allow anyone under the age of 10 in the salon. Anyone between the ages of 10-16 must be accompanied by an adult. We have taken much time to consider implementing this policy in order to enhance our overall customer experience for anyone and everyone visiting the salon. We have a few reasons for putting this policy in place but the main reason, and certainly the most important for having a strict child-free policy, is due to the issue of Health and Safety. We realise this policy will not suit everyone, however; we do hope you can understand our reasoning and please do give us a call to discuss any issues with future appointments.
Q. I’m pregnant, can I still have treatments?
A. We have a whole range of treatments specially designed for and during your pregnancy, as long as you are past your 1st trimester. We can adapt many of our treatments to suit pregnancy, so even if the treatment you want isn’t listed under our pregnancy section, please call us to find out how and if we can adapt the treatment you’d like.
Q. I’ve not been to you before, what do I need to do before my appointment?

Q. I have an existing medical condition, can I still have treatments?
